Celebrate the season with energy, color, and the joy of skating at our annual Spring Fever Show! This upbeat showcase features Skating Edge skaters of all ages and levels performing fun, expressive routines that celebrate growth, confidence, and the excitement of spring on ice.

About the Show

Join us for a lively afternoon as our Learn to Skate, Figure Skating, and Synchro skaters take the ice to celebrate the season through music, movement, and performance. Spring Fever is all about joy, creativity, and sharing the progress skaters have made throughout the year with family and friends.

To register, skaters must have a private Skating Edge coach.

Freestyle Sessions

Figure skating freestyle sessions allow skaters to practice routines and improve skills in a supportive environment. Participants can focus on jumps, spins, and footwork, refining techniques and expressing creativity. The vibrant atmosphere fosters community among skaters of all levels. These sessions are essential for developing artistry and athleticism while enjoying the thrill of skating.

 

Our ice sessions offer skaters an ideal chance to refine their abilities,  improve their techniques, and showcase their creativity.

FREESTYLE Session Information

Drop-in Freestyle sessions are available just about every day of the week! Please check our schedule for times. 

Fee: $16 per session
Freestyle Punch Pass: $308.06 | 22 Sessions

Please note that payment for ice time is required before stepping onto the rink.

New! Freestyle Monthly Unlimited Membership

Maximize your ice time with our new Freestyle Monthly Unlimited Membership, launching May 1st. Access all freestyle sessions for the month — no passes or per-session fees. Only $450/month – Must be purchased at the front desk (in person) by the 3rd of each month

*This membership includes freestyle sessions only. It does not cover stroking, dance, or public skate.

In addition to freestyle sessions, skaters have the option to engage in private or semi-private lessons. Skaters are encouraged to contact our staff coaches directly to arrange these lessons.

STAFF COACHES

For hockey enthusiasts, private lessons are available, allowing one skater to work closely with a coach. However, please note that hockey gear, including helmets, sticks, and pucks, are not allowed during these lessons.

 

Guest coaches are welcome during freestyle sessions but must first inform the Figure Skating Director or general manager for permission. Please email the intended days, times, and estimated number of students, along with proof of insurance and USFS Compliance, before arrival. Approval will be emailed and is valid until July 1st of the following year. Upon arrival, guest coaches must sign the Visiting Coaches Agreement and notify the Figure Skating Director or Skating Edge each time they plan to visit.

BOOST YOUR SKATING SKILLS OFF THE ICE!

New! Strength & Stretch class

We’re excited to offer a Strength & Stretch Class every Wednesday at 5:45 PM, right after Learn to Skate!

This off-ice session focuses on building strength with dynamic exercises and teaching proper stretching techniques to help skaters become stronger, more flexible, and well-rounded athletes.

Whether you’re skater is already enrolled in Learn to Skate or just wants to join the class on its own, this is a great way to improve your skating skills safely and effectively. Comfortable athletic wear recommended

Join us every Wednesday night at 5:45pm – open to all ages!

10 Week Session: $100 (Follows Learn to Skate Calendar) 
Fall Session: August 18 – October 26
Winter 1 Session: October 27 – January 25
Winter 2 Session: January 26 – April 4

Stroking Class

Our Figure Skating Stroking Class iand is perfect for skaters looking to improve their edge control, turns, crosscuts, and overall skating technique. This 30-minute session focuses on drills that help you develop smooth, powerful strokes and better balance on the ice, essential skills for figure skating, hockey, or recreational skating. The class is open to walk-ons only, costs $15 payable at the door, and typically welcomes 15 to 25 skaters each week. Join us to sharpen your skating fundamentals in a supportive, focused environment!

Ice Dance at Skating Edge

Move with the music. Build confidence on the ice.

Ice dance blends movement, music, and flow to create a skating experience that feels both expressive and social. Inspired by ballroom dance, it is a great way to build strong skating skills while enjoying time on the ice in a new way.

Led by longtime coach Arleen Barton, who has been part of this session for more than 30 years, Thursday night Ice Dance is one of the most unique and welcoming traditions at Skating Edge.

No partner required. All are welcome.

Thursday Night Ice Dance Session

Join us each Thursday for a dedicated Ice Dance session designed for skaters of all levels.

🕒 6:50 – 8:00 PM
✨ Program Dance Session featuring Preliminary through Gold dances, plus International dances

A beginner-friendly class is available from:
🕒 7:00 – 7:30 PM

This class focuses on foundational edges, timing, and introductory dances in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Synchronized Skating

Learn Synchro Ice Skating – Teamwork on Ice!

Synchronized skating brings skaters together to perform choreographed programs that blend timing, precision, and musical interpretation. This exciting discipline builds strong skating skills while encouraging teamwork, confidence, and creativity. Classes are led by Alison Wade, a coach with over 30 years of synchronized skating experience.

LA Edge Synchro Team

Skate. Perform. Compete.

The LA Edge Synchro Team brings together skaters who are ready to take their skating to the next level through synchronized team skating. Athletes train together to perform choreographed programs featuring formations, timing, and precision skating.

The team focuses on strong skating skills, teamwork, and performance while preparing for competitions and shows throughout the season.

Open to skaters in Pre-Free Skate through Free Skate 4.

Synchro Skills

Intro to Synchronized Skating

Synchro Skills introduces skaters to the fundamentals of synchronized skating. Skaters learn basic formations, timing, and teamwork while building strong skating skills in a supportive team environment.

This class serves as a development pathway into the LA Edge Synchro Team, helping skaters prepare for future team placement and competitive opportunities.

Open to skaters Basic Skills 5+.

Culver ice productions

Culver Ice Productions began its journey in 2013 and has grown from one team to four, with plans to introduce their first-ever Large Production Ensemble in 2025. Many members have performed with Disney on Ice as characters like Moana, Olaf, Flounder, and Tinkerbell, as well as Snoopy in Knott’s Merry Farm’s “Snoopy’s Night Before Christmas.”The organization has achieved impressive accolades, including numerous National Showcase Championships and medals across various levels. The future is bright for Culver Ice Productions as they continue to promote growth, friendship, and unforgettable experiences on the ice! Torrance ice productions

Torrance Ice Productions is a bronze-category mini-production team introducing young skaters to showcase skating. As the developmental team for the National Showcase Champion Culver Ice Productions, they welcome Freeskate 1-6 level skaters, creating a nurturing environment for artistic growth. Their focus is to provide an enjoyable experience that prepares skaters for future competitive opportunities, balancing fun with structured skill development. By emphasizing creativity, teamwork, and personal progression, the team offers young athletes a unique pathway to explore their potential in performance skating.
